What We Do

Project Management

Lesedi follows the PMBOK® Guide’s recommendation to spread the ten knowledge areas over the five project management processes of initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, and controlling and closing. The initiating process includes the compilation of the project charter and the identification of stakeholders, as well as communication and risk management.

PMBOK® Guide Knowledge areas:

The knowledge areas are developed throughout the duration of the project and are managed by the project manager, who utilises the
in-house services available for the project while developing the ten knowledge areas:

  • Integration
  • Scope
  • Schedule
  • Cost
  • Quality
  • Resource
  • Communications
  • Risk
  • Procurement
  • Stakeholder management.

Contract Management

Lesedi implements sound contract management principles in the execution of its projects. These principles include the development of robust procedures for schedule adherence, claims administration, change management, cost control and reporting. Our procedures are supported by contract management software systems and tracking tools utilised throughout the project life-cycle.

  • Our experienced project managers undergo contract management training for continuous improvement.
  • We schedule annual internal audits to ensure compliance with internal procedures.
  • Finally, we are ably guided by our in-house construction law experts who specialise in standard form contracting within the power industry.
