A milestone achievement for the 2021 cohort of apprentices from Lesedi Academy in Atlantis, who have officially qualified as Mechanical Artisans after three and a half years of dedication and hands-on training.
Following their successful completion of the Mechanical Trade Test, eleven (11) of the sixteen apprentices proudly received their certificates during a heartfelt graduation ceremony attended by colleagues, mentors, and family members.
It was a moment filled with pride and emotion, especially for Skills Academy Co-founder and Executive of Services and Outage, Nicky Van Der Poel, who addressed the graduates with deep admiration for their journey.
“This moment,” said Van Der Poel, “is a testament that Lesedi indeed, purposefully empowers others to create.”
The graduates now carry with them not only a recognised qualification but the foundation to build meaningful careers in the engineering and energy sectors. Congratulations to the Class of 2021 – your hard work has paid off, and your journey is just beginning.
