Lesedi is proud of a recent safety milestone of 500 000 LTI free man-hours on the Ankerlig Transmission Koeberg Second Supply (ATKSS) Project.
Lesedi and Trotech were presented with the Lion Award for the subcontractor team of the month by Principal EPC Contractor Group Five.
In 2017 Lesedi was awarded the Balance of Plant (BOP) Gas Turbine Power Station contract for the ATKSS project next to the Ankerlig Gas Turbine Power Station in Atlantis. This type of project is not new to Lesedi as the company have previously executed the Balance of Plant at Ankerlig and Gourikwa totalling 14 x 150MW gas turbines for Eskom.
The Principal Contractor (EPC) on the ATKSS Project is Group Five Power with Lesedi Nuclear Services being one of the major subcontractors, having the responsibility for the design of all Civil and Structural works together with the Design, Procurement and Construction of the complete Balance of Plant.
Lesedi Safety Manager Phumeza Sobuza congratulated the teams and encouraged them to aim for the next milestone of 1 million LTI Free man-hours.
