In November 2006 Lesedi Nuclear Services became an AREVA Group Company subsidiary with AREVA acquiring a 51% majority shareholding in Lesedi Nuclear Services.
By taking a majority shares in Lesedi, AREVA has reinforced its commitment to invest in the development of South Africa's nuclear sector. It also provides Lesedi with the means to become a major player in this market.
